ISAF-soldiers helping children

These pictures document a side of the conflicts in Afghanistan, which rarely finds it's way into the media: Representatives of American ISAF armed forces visit the orphanage of KUFA in Kabul and present donations. The soldiers obviously enjoyed the contact to the children and it becomes clear, that apart from the terrible events of the war it also comes to heartly meetings between soldiers and afghan people.

Soldiers of the international ISAF troops support the orphanage in various way. Donations in kind such as clothes, toys and food are made available often. Physicians from Macedonia regularly visit the inhabitants of the orphanage. Italian soldiers collect money to finance an urgently needed new water pump, and Americans repaired the sanitary plants. A member of the American armed forces currently tries to organize a current generator.

The commitment of the soldiers shows, how the ISAF in Afghanistan can help directly and that behind the military front are standing humans, who support the interests of the afghan people. We deeply thank all involved soldiers, who contribute that way to the civilian reconstruction of afghanistan!
