Farhad Darya supports women and orphans in Afghanistan
Farhad Darya is patron of the KUFA projects in Afghanistan and one of the most popular musicians of the country. For years he advocates for the needy children and women of his homeland. On his Europe tour this year he appealed for donations for KUFA e.V.
Darya has the gift to unite with its music the whole nation. Its compositions are inspired by the people ways of all trunks of Afghanistan. In their languages Paschtu, Dari, Usbeki, Tadschiki, Belutschi and Paschai he sings its songs. In the meantime the sounds of its songs are to be heard beyond the borders of Afghanistan in the whole world. One does not need to understand necessarily the language, in order to be affected about its music in the soul.
Farhad Darya is large-hearted man, and his songs come from deepest heart. If he welcomes his public on the stage, he puts his hand on his heart, says loud and clearly "Salam", repeats this with deep internalness and says then: "I welcome you from whole heart!".
Especially the orphans and nothing-having are close to his heart and he would like to support these children as far as it is possible for him. On his tour this year through Europe he became acquainted with Mr. Haroon Karga, chief of the concert management Taal and longtime promotion member of our committee, KUFA registered association by his agent. The conception and the function of the woman and orphanage of KUFA registered association in Kabul corresponded to its own conception of assistance and he decided, our work idealistically and financially to supporting. After it its song " Mutter" had sung, asked he his public for a donation for the women and children in Afghanistan. Scarcely 7200 was collected €. Thus maintenance costs for the woman and orphanage are secured in Kabul nearly for one quarter.
We thank Mr. Darya and his team. The meeting with him will be benediction-rich surely still for a great many children and women. Further thanks go to our establishment promotion member Mr. Karsten Jahnke and his coworkers. Also we thank our promotion member Mr. Haroon Karga cordially and wish a further good co-operation in the interest of the unmarried women and orphans in Afghanistan.

When You see with your heart
by Farhad Darya
It was a cold winter day in the year 2001. My son Hejran was five years old at this time. This day I tried everything, but he simply did not want to eat. All my feats to make him eat failed. Despairingly I finally said to him with trembling voice: "Hejranak, do You actually know that hundredthousands of children at your age in Afghanistan in this instance have neither meals nor a roof over their head nor father or mother, who make them meals?"
For one instant oppressive silence emerged. My son, who played calmly with his spoon, raised his head, looked at me with his innocent and childlike eyes and asked me with a voice, which affected me refreshing: "Babaa Darya, then why don't you give them no meal?"
He did not have a hunch, how much he changed my life with this childlike question. From this moment until today I have the innocent voice of my son Hejran in the head. I resolved to support the poor and innocent war children and put them into my heart just as much as my own son Hejran. With my world tour "I am Cold" in the winter of 2001 I began the relief work for the children in Afghanistan. Since then I am willing to help where and when I can with each breath and each step.
During my concerts in the year 2005 in Europe I fortunately became acquainted with KUFA e.V, one of the largest and most reliable humanitarian organizations and child relief organizations. They accompanied me during my whole European route, and both financial and spiritual support came to KUFA. When I looked at the pictures of the needy Afghan children, whom KUFA took in Afghanistan under its wings, I planned firmly that I will support KUFA with whole heart.
When you see with your heart, all orphans are like your own children.
