Helping Afghanistan
KUFA e.V. is a charitable and humanitarian organisation providing help for the afghan people. Beside delivering basic needs like food, medical care and clothing KUFA e.V. aims for contributing to the reconstruction and development of the destroyed afghan infrastructure. Our largest project is a women's house and orphanage in Kabul that currently shelters about 90 people.

How can you help Afghanistan?
In order to maintain and develop our projects in the future we still depend on donations. With projects like the women's house and orphanage in Kabul, which gives women the possibility to live and work and indicates children a perspective for the future, we perform a contribution to the reconstruction of the infrastructure in afghanistan. In the past years the eighth class of the Waldorf-School Kaltenkirchen regularly provided support for the women's house and orphanage of KUFA in Kabul. Now they collected again: This time all together approx. 700 euros were gathered. A pupil reports about the campaign.

09-23-2007 - At this year's annual general meeting of the society for threatened people (GfbV) the honourary membership was lent to the chairperson of KUFA, Mr. Rahman Nadjafi. His nearly 30-year-long engagement for Afghanistan was appreciated with it.

Farhad Darya is patron of the KUFA projects in Afghanistan and one of the most popular musicians of the country. For years he advocates for the needy children and women of his homeland. On his Europe tour this year he appealed for donations for KUFA e.V.

For the urgently needed development of the woman and orphanage from KUFA in Kabul the German society for technical co-operation (GTZ) granted a subsidy of 32,500 euros. The German Embassy in Kabul helped with further 6,700 euros. The local director/conductor of the facility, Hannsgeorg Preuss, would like to finish the work on the most important building sites with the money now as fast as possible
